Happy Hollow WMA 1800 acres, quota of 50 hunters for the Spring turkey? That's what the guide says, surely theres a mistake on the math there.

Why would there be a mistake? 50 sounds reasonable for 1800 acres.

That sounds in no way reasonable to me. That sounds crazy to me. One hunter per 30ish acres on average. There will be numerous people heading to every bird that gobbles. For comparisons sake, the other quota hunts that I calculated were more like 1 hunter per 160-230 acres, now that's reasonable to me.That should illustrate the difference well.

williamsport is 1700 acres and has 2 open nonquota turkey hunts plus the juvi. 50 names on the check in list is normal. You got to remember a lot of people will leave early or only hunt one day. If the quota is 50 then you can bet there won't be that many to show up.
