An Unexpected Visitor

The upcoming season is my third year of hunting. I'm fortunate enough that a friend's uncle allows me to hunt on his property in exchange for some meat if I harvest anything and helping out with any projects he might have around the property. The deer have been way off the pattern that they have followed the previous two seasons and I have been having a tough time even getting a deer on camera. Pulled my cards a couple of weeks ago and I may have an explanation for the changed patterns. Definitely not something I expected to see in the lower elevation section of East Tennessee.

They are more and more showing up on trail cams. I had one on my property last November.

You can expect to see the black bear numbers increase, and they are expanding into areas previously void.
Whether that's good or bad is a matter of perspective.

That is a great pic. I live in sevierville and have seen several near my home over the last few years.

I think it's nice to see one on camera or from a distance. Not so much up close...like from my treestand with him/her climbing up to take a sniff. I'm hoping it is a one time visit and I'm able to find where the deer have relocated to before September.
