Another Chuck Swan Question

Like I said in an earlier question I haven't been to C.S. in 12 or 13 yrs. Are you still required to have your gun in a closed case when transporting it in a vehicle?

I'm going to try and find it in the regulations but I
m sure somebody on here can answer it before I can find it. Thanks
 
The only thing I can find in the regulations is that they must be unloaded while being transported in a vehicle. But I remember 12 to 15 yrs ago they made a rule that guns had to be in a closed case when in a vehicle. Back then it was common to go thru road blocks in Chuck Swan checking for loaded and/or uncased guns.
 
I would just put mine in a case and not even take a chance. Better to have it and not need it than not have it all. You will enjoy in the morning. Nothing like the anticipation of the gate opening up!
