I put my camera up a couple weeks ago. It had the same set of batteries for a few months, with a few hundred pics taken, but the indicator still said 98% battery life.

When I set it up, I pushed the button to arm the camera and it was doing the 10 second count down before it was armed.

I came back today to pull the card. The low batter light is red and the batteries are dead. I pull the car and there were no new pics. What gives?

Should at least have been a few pics from when I was setting the camera up. I guess the camera never armed. I have no idea what happened.

I used to be a huge proponent of Reconyx cameras simply because of their reliability. In my opinion, the extra cost was worth the the high reliability these units offered. But ever since the compnay switched to the "Hyperfire" series of cameras, they've had problems. I'm not so sure the improvements in reliability with the some of the cheap Chinese models hasn't overpowered the high cost and reduced reliability of the expensive Reconyx.

I would definitely call Reconyx and send it back to them and let them look at it. They will have it back to you in less than two weeks. Best customer service there is!
