Another state closed due to corona

Just heard Nebraska closed to NR... jeez, I already cancelled my FL trip earlier this year, and now Nebraska is off the table for my mid May trip. Imma be mad at the TN birds this weekend unless the gov shuts down TN as well

How do they close a state? I'm assuming you have your TN license already. Now they could stop you from using it? I am a TN resident, but I'll be leaving Thursday afternoon with my camper, generator, and enough supplies for a 7-10 days if I decide to stay that long.

How do they close a state?

They generally cant. But they can stop selling NR hunting licenses. You can still go to Nebraska. Just can't hunt when you get there. Unless you find a Sioux reservation game warden to sell you some tags.

I'm assuming if you bought your NR license early they would let you hunt instead of issuing a refund? Strange times we are going through!

I think you can use your one tag if you already bought license but additional tags are not available? I think we will know more tomorrow this is all breaking news..

Governor signed executive order yesterday afternoon. Game and Fish making the formal announcement today. If you already bought your tag, you can still use it (but not buy the other 2 to complete your limit). If you don't have a tag in hand, you cannot even buy a NR tag on G&F website.

Well NE is out, SD is a maybe as I have Blackhill tag. Not sure I want to hunt that far from home with only one tag.
Will watch what WY does to make my final decision about going
