dca - yes if you put a string tamer, sts, mean v or others on the take off your other silencers, i did i think you will gain some speed as most folks gain 3-8 fps doing this.
I took my string silencers off and gained 7 fps and it is just as quiet if not more. I have a String Tamer from Norway Industries, the same people that make Duravanes. I'll try to find a link.
I have the same one on my Dren.
I can't notice any difference in less vibration,and am going to take it off also, now that I know it slows the arrow down.
Sounded like a good idea at the time.
