It seems as though there are many people using Rage broadheads in the state of Tn. Many are proud the talk good about them on this open forum. From the way they look to me, they are not legal in the state for deer, bear, elk, boar and feral hog hunting. In the open position they are considered barbed and even in the closed position they are still barbed. On the TWRA forum they even explained what was considered barbed design some time back. So why are they not saying anything about all these Rage post or am I missing something?

I think if you would just post this question on the TWRA forum you would get your question answered . ;) It is not considered a barbed head .

Posting questions in the TWRA forum seems to get the same non TWRA people answering the question. :D So the blades fold forward when removed instead of sliding back into position?

yes, when you go to pull it out if needed the blades do fold foward, thus taking away that fact that they could be called barbed since they will sweep into a position that they will not hang on anything when pulled in reverse.

Thanks that is what i was wanting to know because if they slid back into the starting position that would be considered barbed. Since that is not what they do then no they are not barbed.

For those who are tired of Rage threads then simply stop clicking on them. When it gets to where we can not talk about the performance of products then we are losing valuable information. Without that we might as well just group this forum in the serious deer hunting forum.

Have seen a lot of rage threads but do agree with. There are always unanswered questions and I am sure there will be more.
