Ever seen one of these?
I have had this for a few years. I got it from the son of an old timey turkey hunter after he passed away, because he knew how much I loved to turkey hunt.
Anyway, it is hollow, kind of like a box call, with the nail sticking up just above the rim of the rest of the box. I hold it in my left hand, and take the solid block of wood and slide it across the nail.
Doesn't sound half bad.
