any interest in a Bow Ed class?

I just received a call asking if there will be a Bowhunter's Ed class this fall at TWRA's region I office.
Before we set up a class, we(the instructors) need to check for enough interest from the public for a class before we set up a date for a traditional all day class. We have to have a minimum of 10 students committed before we can hold the class. Any less than that, the class will be cancelled, even at the last minute.
If anyone is seriously considering taking this course, please contact TWRA Region One office at 731-423-5725 and leave your name and a phone number where you can be reached. If we have enough people interested by August 3rd, 2009, we will schedule a class in mid September.
FYI: for those of you that want to take the course online, it is my understanding that there has to be a minimum of 10 online students requesting the Field Day portion of the online course before TWRA will notify the instructors that a Field Day session needs to be organized.

we WILL NOT be scheduling a bow ed class in west TN this fall. there were not enough people to show interest in attending one.

missing out here folks...having been to one I can tell you they are fun, informative and a great place to meet people and talk about the sport we love..
 
k8, call your regional TWRA office and ask if anyone on that end of the state is planning one. someone on one of the other forums had asked about one in the eastern part also. there may be enough interest there to get at least 10 folks committed to a class.
 
I will schedule one for February 2010 at the Region IV office. Just like Eddie, we will cancel the class if we don't have at least 10 people. There is a lot of prep work getting a class ready. I have tried the classes in the fall twice and nobody showed up even after a reminder call the week of the class. In February people are getting spring fever and looking for something to do.
