thinking about trying out a pure gold choke this year just to see what it does in my Stoeger M2000. Shoot an IC now and have no complaints but just wanted to see if anyone else shoots this choke out there and your thoughts.

I have one that I got to try with the Mag Blends in my 870sm.... got it after season last spring and haven't got to shoot it yet.

Heard many good things about PG chokes.

You can read much more on OG about them.....

Yeah I have heard good things over on OG about them, just wish i knew someone with my gun that shot them. Its hard to get a good review from an 870 or 835....I am prob gonna get one anyways and just sell whichever ever one performs better.

Why sell it, if it doesn't work well, send it back for a different constriction size..... they will work with you.... or just get your money back....

well i was just going to get a used one off someone at OG. i cant afford to buy one at retail. I may call them and see what they will do like it did with IC and ended up getting a new choke straight from IC for $50.

Everyone has an opinion.. Here is mine..Aftermarket chokes are over priced, over exegratted, over blown marketing schemes.. now that you all hate me.. lol.. I'll explain my theory..
First.. do any of you think some little 3-4 man shop..(like the one I used to run) knows something that Browning, Beretta, remington doesnt know about making chokes?? I have ran a machine shop for 30 years.. I have every type of mike, caliper, dial bore gauge made.. I have measured $100.00 chokes and $19.00 chokes.. all pretty much the same..
I also used to have a regulation skeet field on my farm.. I have patterned a trailer truck load of shotguns in my life.. I cannot tell you how many people spend countless dollars buying these chokes thinking they are some type of silver bullet.. It aint the choke.. I also coach sctp and aim trap.. kids and parents alike think as soon as they drop $1500.00 on a trap gun you have to buy $200.00 more dollars worth of fancy ported chokes.. all baloney.. It aint the arrow... its the indian.. sir.. pattern your gun with the factory choke.. borrow a aftermarket one from a friend and pattern it.. then compare the differences.. I doubt there will be much.. good luck!

Check out wingsupply.com they usually have discount prices on their chokes....

I just bought one for my SBEII. I'm trying to decide between Winchester Extended Range and Hevi-shot. Also need to decide which shot size to go with. So much research to do...

There was a noticeable difference the patterns of my remington xtra full factory choke and my aftermarket rhino with the same shells. Why? I dont know.
