Any Tennessee fans excited about NIKE?

I am! I can't wait to see the uniforms! I am all about traditional colors, but I would love to see a flat black helmet with an orange power T, and uniform matching the same way for special night games. We will see what they come up with!
 
It doesn't matter to me, as long as they don't go too crazy.

Speaking of that, why were the gators wearing ORANGE in their bowl game :D ?
 
The year Kiffin was coach,a friend and myself went to the South Carolina game on Halloween night and Tennessee was in black and orange.Most fans said they didnt like the colors but I liked them.As you know Tennessee defeated SC!!

Yes!!
 
I think there will be a play on maybe one or two alternate unis but for the most the rest of them will look the same except with the Nike logo.
 
I have seen some pretty good ideas on the unis but I dont think any of them were designed by Nike. I think they are going to start using the "rifleman" logo again as well.

Walmart quit selling to UT. They said they can make more money on the Gators because they get a one two punch selling to them. Football uniforms and Huggies.

IMO Nike will only get as crazy as the university allows them which probably won't be much crazier than the grays. I think there will be some slight alterations to the grays but not much.
 
Tennessee IS orange and white. I imagine they will have an alternative uniform but I don't see much change in our everyday uniforms. Black helmet? I sure hope not, keep the white with power T. Some things you don't mess with, unless you want to look like umass and be the laughing stock of college football. Everyone in NCAA equates orange and white with the Vols, why mess with the image.

I was at the SC game on Halloween also and although I am a traditionalist I liked the uniforms for that game. It was Halloween, it made it special, but I don't want to see them wearing it all the time. I don't see any black anyway though as black is not an official color of the university where the smokey gray is.
 
These are not official Nike concepts but IMO they are pretty decent. They aren't gawdy and are pretty much traditional. I like the gray concept better than the one by Adidas. Some may or may not like the gray helmet but I think it looks better with the gray uniform than the white helmets. The Power T shall always remain orange IMO regardless of the helmet color. The regular unis look pretty good also. I for one like the Orange face mask. That's just me though.
