I practiced today after a week off and glad I did. My form or my sight is off a little since I've been doing all this hunting. I made a slight adjustment and am back on target. I think all this hauling my bow in and out of the woods has had an effect.

I try to 2-3 time a week for just that reason. It also keeps you flexible and instills "muscle memory" that could be the difference between a short track or a lost deer.

And it is a great way to calm down after work!

Yes, I just came in always like to check bow after travelling with it just to be sure.

Well, I found I was torquing the bow and not getting into back tension position to use my shoulder blades. I ended up punching the trigger today. I also needed a little bit of adjustment on the sight just in case I resort back to my crappy form during the rest of the season.

i havent practiced since i killed one 2 weeks ago. went this morning and shot at a mature doe 13yrd, and shot right over her back. always bend at the waist and dont torque the bow. i think i did both of these. it happened so fast i just wasnt thinking. you learn from your mistakes and that makes you a better bow hunter for the next hunt. practice practice practice for me tomorrow.

What he said when I am bow hunting alot. 3 shots - 2 or 3 times a week. 1 at 25 yrds and 2 at 35 yrds.

I keep a arrow in my quiver with a broadhead on it that I shot through a deer at some point. Keep it on the back row so I wont accidentally grab it. Before getting down Ill take it and pick out a random spot on the forest floor and shoot it.

I spent a couple hours at the driving range friday afternoon practicing.

Hey tnbowhunter3 I know what ure feeling. My buddy goes out to his uncles land in KS and kills 300lb 150" bucks each year. The whole week before he goes he has an extreme case of buck fever. ahhaha
