Anybody use a Red Dot on their turkey gun?

I have used a few.... Bushnell and TruGlo.... I liked the Bushnell, am not sold on the TruGlo yet....

I also have a Burris FF2 red dot ~$200.... and by far it is the best and low profile. The FF3 is out and is a little better set-up as far as dot size and ease of battery change.... but it costs about $250.

I use the Mueller Quick shot and it has served me well for 2 years with no issues.

Depending on your shooting style they can really give you an advantage however they also have cons so you will have to weight those options. With anything controlled by a battery you are always taking a chance it wont turn on.

I do like the Burris FF2 and FF3 better but they are $100 more then the Mueller. The Mueller is prob the best in the 100 range.

I am not a fan of the tube style red dots though, IMO they just restrict to much field of view.

I was thinkin bout puttin one on my SBE II for next season and a steady grip stock. You can still look down the rib if ya forget to turn it on right?

Absolutely. I looked at all the sights before I decided to go with this one, and the others were not for me. The Eotech was IMO not designed for hunting the way I like to hunt, and I thought it was a poor design. I looked at the Tru Glo, and it was junk as well IMO.

The speed bead fit me perfectly, and I could not imagine any better design for a red dot sight.
