anyone hunt out of state public land

Missouri has TONS of public land to turkey hunt.Their online conservation land atlas is pretty user friendly as well. Just pick a county or general area and it will query their database and spit out public land available based on your search criteria. Some areas allow hunting and some are more for trail hiking, birding etc. It is all available at this link.

If you are into GIS and mapping and you have Google Earth on your computer, you can use this link to access a Google Earth KMZ file that will show public areas in MO. http://mdc.mo.gov/discover-nature/place ... ogle-earth

Google Earth is free and can be downloaded here. http://www.google.com/earth/index.html

Best of luck in your out of state journey.

Some of the NF's in Bama have really really good hunting, but I would go after opening weekend. They get hit pretty hard for about 4 days, then they are vacant. I have hunted pretty much everyone, and have killed birds on every one I have hunted.

Setterman are they pretty large tracks of national forest

Talladega is freaking enormous, and the one I have had the best success on. After opening weekend/week it is literally empty. Anyone from this state could easily slide that way the week before our season opens and have plenty of room to roam, and plenty of birds to chase. You might just run into me if the timing is right.

Spent all of last week back home in South Florida huntin swamp ghosts on the Big Cypress WMA. Was fortunate enough to call up and kill one good longbeard.
