Anyone hunt the Fort this morning? Any luck? What's the deal with this crap? I see Mean Gene Okerlund is, AGAIN, hard at work trying to screw-up the hunting on the Fort. :rotf:
 
Yeah I hunted Fort Campbell this morning. Heard a few gobbles for but no luck, they seemed to get tight lipped once they flew down we didn't hear a sound after about 7:00 a.m. or so. Gonna try to go again in the morning. Has far as that error message goes I don't know what that was about, I checked in last night and got it also. I checked to make sure I was still checked in this morning before I left and was still checked so I went. Not sure if that message was an error or what it meant. I even tried to call last night after checking in to find out what it meant but no luck. I didn't have a ticket on my window when I walked out today so I guess I was good lol.
 
I have no clue what that test was but it is the typical BS that goes with the program now. I went out this afternoon. Lots of sign in my normal spots but never seen a bird. The last 90 minutes of light I tried a good roosting area but nothing there either. Still felt good to be back in the woods!!!
 
That much sign in an area with nothing talking means they are henned up. Never know when a satellite bird will travel through and gobble like crazy though. Just a matter of time if the sign is there.
 
Anyone had any luck on Fort Campbell yet? I have been out twice and have only heard two gobbles. Just wondering if it is just me or not.
 
I killed one last weekend and almost tagged out yesterday morning. They are around just not gobbling much.
 
I was out this Sunday and today. Lots of birds gobbling but nothing would commit. They are henned-up and I haven't had time to hunt but a couple of hours each day so that limits my options. I called in two jakes this morning so at least I saw a couple of young future toms. I did freeze my ars off this morning too. Not a bad thing I guess. It lets you know you are still alive. :)
