Anyone hunting this week?

Hunting right now -haven't seen nor heard a thing! Had a longbeard here yesterday morning but he wouldn't cooperate. Bout 30 more minutes and I'm going to the house. Life's still good!

Going to try to help my dad finish up.

Some birds are looking to die :) !

I do believe I could have went back to back this weekend if the birds were on my side. They were cranking up till 9:00both days I just couldn't get to them. I will try them again Saturday and Sunday

Man I'm planning on hitting it hard this week. I wanna finish strong after a miss on Friday. Wanna get at least one more. Gonna hit it 3-4 mornings before work... Couple quick afternoon hunts. Feeling good

I haven't been in a couple weeks but a good friend (not really a turkey hunter) called me today and asked me to take him and his girlfriend, so I'm going in the morning. I love hunting late season and the birds we're trying in the morning shouldn't have been hunted at all.

Just checked it and sunrise has gotten really early over the last couple weeks. 3:00 is early. I'm going to bed.

I killed a tom this morning 60 seconds after his feet hit the ground....these birds have been henned up from sun up to sundown all season....i made a decision to setup in a little spot i witnessed birds prefering to land and they landed. 25 yds away.....i have a question why are you guys thinking this might be the best week?

Most of the hens are nesting. The gobblers are going longer without finding a receptive hen and they aren't ready to give it up just yet :) !

Cause that's how the male brain works. :D

From what I saw today, the best week may be the first of June. Still enough hens around to lead three separate gobblers away. And one live hen even came to within 20 yards and paced back and forth cutting and cackling for 20 minutes while gobblers faded into the distance gobbling. Turkeys being turkeys.

Heard one gobble but the wind was so bad I could not pinpoint it. Hunted hard until 2 p.m then came home to pick up the kids. I am going to try again in a couple days. I got to make some money some time this week
