stik uses an ANCIENT bow with the retriever reel.(the bottle type), a roller rest and muzzy arrows. Twig uses an old pro sport with the same.
Just find a decent used bow and have at it.50# draw is optimum. Finger tabs or glove are optional or you can use a rubber thingy(can't remember what it is called) that goes on the string.

the rubber thingy is No-glove.
I got a recurve set up with the Zebco 808 reel setup except the 808s are junk these days so I am using a Shakeshpere catfishing reel using fastflight bowfishing line from Brownell. that line has no stretch in it so it doesnt 'bounce back'at you on those long shots from the road side.

I use a 40# recurve, and have a blast with it. It's gotten to the point that I can hardly pick up a fishing rod anymore.

it looks like it would be so much fun. I seen on relentless pursuit they was talking about Illinois is trying to outlaw bowfishing because the boat is making forward progress. But who knows.
