Hobbled out to get paper and sure wish I was in the woods this morning instead of being gimped up. Anyone listening for one? They have to be hammering somewhere!

I was up at 645 to throw my work clothes into the dryer and then be in to work at 8am...I'm stuck here till 10 pm and it's killing me. I won't get out to listen for 2 or 3 more weeks anyway, to get a better idea of where they're roosting close to opening day.

I'll be driving about an hour each way to most places I plan to hunt, so I'm waiting about two more weeks to hardcore scout. Been out learning the land a little but not at day break yet.

I used to get out and listen but there are always turkeys where I hunt so I don't listen anymore until opening morning but its fun to get out and listen before season opens

If I happen to be in the woods this early, I'll have to wear earplugs. If I hear one gobble this early, I won't get anything done for the whole month of march.

Didn't go listening but did go by after church and there were 24 hens in the field. Watched forever. Not a gobbler one came out.

Went and listened Saturday morning. Didn't hear anything and on the way home I saw three flocks. Two of the flocks were all hens and the other was toms. I'll give it another couple of weeks before I go back

Ditto. Too early and too far for most of my spots.

I'm going to get all the sleep I can between now and then :D !
