Giving them a break today. With all the rain prolly can't get across the creek to over half the farm anyway.
 
Not I, getting the kids off to school and then I'm getting some rest, cleaning the truck out and getting ready to go again.
 
Rain moved in a lot sooner than I thought. Not enough going on for me to stay! May try after work when rain quits! Good luck!!

Raining before daylight. I came on in to work.

It will take a while for them to leave the roost.

Herd 1 bird gobble 1 time on roost. Didn't expect to hear much with the high wind and rain but that was enough for me stick it out for awhile
 
Got up ready to roll and saw the radar, back to bed. Rain wasn't supposed to arrive until noon but was here at 7 :roll:
 
Im out here in West TN. Thought i heard one bird a good ways off early. Im on more of a glorified scouting trip really. Had to work all wknd and this is the first day I have been able to get out... Gonna tough it out for the day...

You should find some in fields later on.
 
Last night it looked like 80 to 100 percent rain today with a couple of breaks. When I got done sleeping in this morning, I looked and most of the rain is gone from the hourly forecast. I might head out there but it will be windy.

I'm headed out now. Stopped for a sandwich but already seen strutters in 4 different fields and ain't half way there yet

I got up. Heard one gobble way off behind the house. Cut the distance in half - or so I thought. Owl hooted and he was in the tree above me. It was so windy and rainy I backed out super quiet. He gobbled 2 more times so he wasn't messed up. I didn't feel like getting a wet behind so I left him and went to work. I'll get on him tomorrow, but this morning would've stunk with the rain and wind
