Since their season opens earlier than ours, I like to check it out to see what their birds are doing.

Here's a doozy of a thread that has sprung up for your time consuming pleasure :D !

Here's an excerpt: So apparently they thought I was poaching. Things did not go well, we got into an argument and one of the guys punched me in the nose. With guns around, I was obviously scared as hell by myself.
They just left, but I don't know what to do know. I marked it on my phone map Gps thing and I was off the property, really had no idea. Should I tell warden or somebody about this? I know I was off the property, but a black eye???

Yep don't want to forget the "usually" lol

Man, the internet can sure bring out the badarsery in some people. You'd think some of them must be master woodsmen if they've never got turned around/lost and wound up on someone else's place or had to track a shot deer across property lines.

No I think most would have been respectful when they found out they crossed over and not got punched lol. I think most don't use the word "usually" when talking about trespassing.
And as far as your post I'm not sure many that would trespass to get a deer without asking. I have left 1 that a guy wouldn't let me recover even though I could see the buck from the fence I didn't go ovwmer and I feel i did the right thing. Because I respect people's property

TN state law, look it up. Permission - from the land owner - is required to track and/or recover deer that has crossed property boundaries. Shot deer is irrelevant vs. private property rights.

So spare me the histrionics.
