Anyone seeing any Jakes in Hardin Co. or other surrounding counties? I've been hunting mostly in Hardin Co. and a little in Wayne Co. and have only seen one Jake all season. I hope we don't get back in the same shape a year or two from now as we where in the last few years with the tom numbers.

Ive called up 11 in my county so far. Much more than usual. Im glad because we are hurting in alot of places. Problem is, when you have few gobblers but good number of jakes, alot of jakes will get shot.

Only seen one this year. It worries me too cuz I saw quite a few jakes last year and the gobbler numbers are definately better this year than in a good while.

Nope! King shwabee with all the hens has beat the crap out of them all!! I am going to kill that bird!!

Slightly less than average this year where I've hunted.

I do have a group of 7 'superjakes' that are actually late born 2 yr olds with 5-6" beards and full gobbles, but just under full fans. They're really starting to get on my nerves. Set up on them several times, spend 30 minutes calling him in gobbling the whole way, only to find out it's just a jake. At least they are sexually mature and capable of reproduction in case all the LB's get shot.

This morning I had to slow driving to 5mph and wait for 3 jakes to make their way across the road and then saw some more turkeys near the road another quarter mile down the road. Williamson county

Have a bunch in Marshall County.
Had 6 in the drive way last Thursday. Called up 5 super Jakes on Saturday morning. Them 5 will be good Burds next year they acted the part just weren't mature enough. Burd is right we are covered in em

not seen a one in Macon co yet but I hope i keep on the longbeards rather than jakes
