Jus throwing this out there??

I shot mine today through a Chronograph......

28 Inch Draw
65-67 lbs-had to back it off a bit
Easton Axis 400
100 Grain Field tip

I got 295

What are you getting FPS, I didnt think I could get 330 or so because of my Draw length I had in my head 300-305 so I'm happy with it!!

Its SUPER QUIET with the dead stop and string surpressors!!

did you get the 6.5 or the 7
like to know your opions of both...im not sure what to get...

I honetly got the 6.5 because of more speed but if you have a 28 inch draw like me speed isnt an issue I wished I woulda got the 7 it would prolly be a more rounded bow for someone my size!!

More Forgiving, but whats a half an inch???? LOTS!!!

That sounds about spot on. I ran the numbers with a total arrow weight arund 390 grains, and with just a peep and loop on the string at 67lbs at 28dl and got a estimated speed of 292.4fps.

Spit, that is about right! I would recommend to watch the spine on your Axis though. I changed from the 400 to the 340 and it did make a difference. I don't know if the power from that bow against the 400 spine was the cause, but my arrow flight seemed more stable after the change and better groups. Everything on our set-up is the same except I'm pulling 70lbs and using the 340 Axis and my chrono was 301.

Reezen or Monster??

Also FYI...anyone that has a Reezen watch the supressors that are on the rail by the cams. They will get eaten up, mine was after about 500 shots, I called Mathews tech line and they said the factory ones came with a softer compound and they are now using a harder compound that will last alot longer and they sent them directly to me at N/C.

Spit look at the total weight of your arrow. Either way your getting enough kinetic energy to do the job.

I aint gonna tell ya what im getting with my bow at 65 pounds with A/C/C 390"s at 65lbs.... It will make you cry :D

Cool then you and I are about the same!!

I just ran your numbers I don't have a reezen. :) I would tell ya what my monster will do... but that wouldn't be nice.

IBO speeds are calculated much differently than how we set up a bow for the woods(and a long life). On average, you can usually subtract about 25 fps from the IBO speed and that's what you'll get on 70 lbs - 29" draw through a chronograph. 295 is still smokin!

I've played with both the 6.5 and 7.0 and can't tell much difference in forgiveness. The 6.5 is the 2009 "flagship" bow for Mathews. I've shot the 6.5 since January and absolutely love it. Tack driver, extremely quiet, and shoots hard. For anybody that's had a problem with your string suppressors tearing prematurely, Mathews has released a heavier version and we have those in stock.

The Monster has been a pleasant surprise. Don't judge this bow till you've shot it. It does have a bit more hand shock than the Reezen, but any STS System fixes that and the reading on the chrono is sweet! We stock them all and have bows rigged and ready to shoot. Come see us! 615-567-6243

My set-up is:

Reezen 6.5 at 70lbs and 29" draw, with a peep, loop, and a Whisker Biscuit Rest. I am shooting a 75/95 Gold Tip with 90gr point, and Blazer vanes giving a total arrow weight of 385gr.
It will shoot 315fps according to the chrony I shot thru on Saturday.

29.5" draw, Carbon Impacts, 100 grain Rage, drop away rest, peep- 318 FPS 5 times in a row through chronograph.
