Apex ammo at the convention

It was a joke. I was there at 9 and still didn't get any. They forgot their 10 cent ammo stamp. Had to wait several hours on that, then it all got completely disorganized, multiple lines were formed, people got mad all over because they waited hours and just got skipped. I got mad myself and went to federal. Crazy how messed up it was over some turkey ammo.

I saw a few boxes at the Apex booth, but it was large shot sizes. Federal was sold out by the time we got there.

You figure being business men they would know and try to make more.
I'm not a business man so what do I know. I figured that would happen. Same thing happened to longbeards.

Spoon, thanks for confirming that I made the right choice not to take off from work early this afternoon to run over to buy some. I figured they would be out before noon, and it was later than that before I could break free. I was wanting some of the 20 Ga federals, but had an idea it wasn't worth the trip across town.

Seriously a lot of guys here do it and can guide you though the first few till you are comfortable with it. I'm happy to help in any way and I'm also sure if some materials are out of stock a few of us can send you a few of whatever missing components till they get back in stock
 
I ordered a box from apex on Thursday , 410 9.5's it said they have them in stock but it hasn't shipped yet, my be waiting a little while

Only federals cabelas has in stock online is the 12ga

I need to start rolling my own as well,
 
I don't mind helping anyone with advise or components BUT I'll be upfront I WILL NOT share another man's recipe.
Buy the shot from Hal, get his recipe, I'll be glad to help in anyway after that.

Good move, you won't regret it. If I were depending on APEX, I would call in the offseason and order 25-50 shells at a time, and not order 5-10, especially in the few months preceding turkey season. Just think, South Florida opens in two weeks, with juvenile opening next weekend, so you know those guys are chomping at the bit and most likely start ordering their stuff in Dec/Jan.
