What do you guys recommend I recently switched sights to a spot Hogg tommy Hogg 3 pin and I want to make a tape. I know I can do one by hand but I would rather have the precession of an accurately printed tape.

I prefer Pinwheel Software's On Target 2. I did use The Archery Program (TAP) at one time. I thought TAP was easier to simply make a sight tape but OT2 has more features and data. Ill let others chime in.

OT2 by Pinwheel Software is supported by Larry Claque with OUTSTANDING customer service!

The tapes I make for my Hogg Father sight are extremely accurate and tested to 100 yds!

I've used both OT2 and TAP Pro and like TAP Pro,the archery program, better because of its ease of use. They both do the same exact thing and both are equally accurate, as far as tapes and shaft selection go, TAP is just easier to use. However, TAP doesn't have as many "woofie-wowzer" features as OT2, like the feature that uses pictures to show where your point of impact will be from heights and yardages. Actually, both have that but TAP shows it on a chart while OT2 uses pictures. I've shot accurate tapes with both over 100yds. Both companies have a free trial you can use so you can test and see for yourself.

As far as tapes go, just print it off and then get yourself adhesive laminate sheets and place your tape in between two sheets and then a couple of dabs of super glue on the back and attach it to your sight.

I guess I'm a weirdo. I have both OT2 and TAPS Pro but my sight tape starts as a blank Avery label. Then I just put my own marks on it with a pencil and cover with clear tape.

I've just never been totally satisfied with printed tapes. I can print them off for the FPS my bow is shooting through the chrony...and the calculated tapes will be dead on for some yardages...but off by several yards for others. I've tried it several different ways and thus why I own both programs. What I ran into, is that my own marks would be dead on out to 60 yards, but when I take a measuring tool and line it up with the software printed yardages vs my marks, they are off. The printed tapes might match my marks from 20-30 yards...then be off by several yards as it goes down to further yardages. But like I say, I'm the oddball out, but I can trust my own marks.

Do you put in the correct peep to pin and peep to arrow measurements? When I first started making tapes I didn't put this data in accurately and my tapes were always off at long range. Now they are amazingly accurate.

HHA gives you about 50 pre cut calibrated tapes when you buy their sight or you can buy the tapes separately. They are the best I've seen and I've been using them for years, they are good quality. Mine are calibrated out to 70 yards

Those HHA tapes are a great, but when you get caught in the rain you find out really quick that these tapes are not waterproof! Once the tape on my DS-5510 got really doused in the rain it would appear to almost melt and if ANYTHING touched the tape while it was wet it would slide and crumble! When I needed more tapes I could only buy them through an authorized HHA dealer.

I learned a lesson one day when I got caught out in a gen-u-wine frog strangler...even laminated sight tapes get wet! Since then I print my tapes on ink-jet waterproof vinyl labels and no rain, sleet, or snow will hurt the tape! I also use heavy duty clear tape that I put over the label and this serves as an extra layer of protection.

I print my tapes on Avery label stock. Clean the sight with alcohol and stick label on sight. I cover with clear tape to waterproof the label.

I bet they aren't waterproof like mine are!
