I've heard them gobble year round. Not nearly as much as in the spring, but they will gobble.

This past week we heard turkeys gobbling at everything while playing golf. Thunder, crows, cars, they where fired up.

There is a group of about 10 jakes and a couple of gobblers that have been crossing the road in front of my house every day at 6:00 for the past couple of weeks - you can set your watch by them. They gobble and carry on just about as much as in the spring as they wander across my front yard.

I hunt up in smith county and have heard them for the past 3 weekends. They slow way down after 8 oclock or so but did hear one around noon. Just depends how riled up the hens can get them.

heard them again yesterday morning gobbling and cutting all the way up to 9am...was pretty cool to hear just made me wish i had a shotgun and was on the ground lol
