Hi traditional guys! After having been a compound bow user for some time, I've gotten the urge to try a recurve. I've got a 66" 42lb @ 28" Bear Bearcat on the way to me. I'm a pretty big feller at 6'5 and my draw length is right at 32" (I'll be pulling somewhere around 50lb). I've had one guy tell me I'm gonna be pretty much restricted to using uncut Easton 2013 arrows. Like most archers, I'd like to try out various arrows to see what suits me and my bow, but I can rarely find the uncut length of an arrow listed on a website when I'm thinking about buying some. Does anyone know what all arrows come 33"+ long before being cut? Also, any of you guys with much more experience have any suggestion on a particular arrow given my specs I posted?

One other question; Can you (safely and without damage to your equipment) use 5/16" field points on an arrow with a 11/32" diameter? I'm wanting to try out various weights on various arrows (if I can find "various arrows" that are long enough) and don't want to spend a fortune on field tips that I'll only use a few times.

Thanks y'all!

the only damage you should expect formthe 5/16 fp on the 11/32 shaft is to the end of the shaft against the target. shouldnt be much. if you want some 11/32 fp in 125gr, PM me your mailing address. I have a bunch left from a now 'closed' archery shop in my back yard.

you might try here for some shafting or arrows. they have the shaft lengths listed. you will have to try some thing besides a 2013.

Awesome, eddie c. I'll definitely take you up on that offer for the 11/32" field points (PM on the way). And thanks for the link - that'll help tremendously!

I have the exact same bow. I dont have your draw length , but a 2216 with 150gr two blade head flew perfect out of it...my arrows were 31.5 inches long. Good form and practice , practice , practice.

Good luck bud...have any questions ask away.
