Arrow Weight Old School!

Thats funny I looked my arrows up on the Easton site yesterday and with the blazer vanes and Bohning wrap, nock, inserts and a 125 grain broadhead mine came out to about 630 grains. The last time I checked I was shooting somewhere around 250ish fps. That's figures about 90-95 lbs KE.
And I have never had a deer complain about how slow may arrows are or about how my arrows are too much. I also rarely have my arrows stay in a deer (it has happened... twice. but rarely).

yep, old school arrow weight is 8 to 10 gr PER lbs of draw weight. mine is pushing about 9.

I'm good Eddie. I am still going to school. I should finish up next semester. Then hopefully I will be "Retooled" (don't anybody go there)for the 21st century work force!! At least I hope so.

57 pounds, 267 fps...nuff said.

I killed two last January with 47 pounds and about 240 fps...pass throughs!!!

Which Easton arras do you shoot?

What's your set up to shoot a heavy arrow like that 250 fps?

I like speed bows not for top end speed but the ability to shoot heavier arrows faster.

I am shooting XX78 2317's 31 1/4 inches long.
Hoyt Defiance 78lbs @ 32inch draw. Command Cam.
