As inept as Jones turned out to be, just think how close he was to actually succeeding. Of course, in the latter years Dobbs masked a LOT of problems, but in year three he had Oklahoma beaten. And not to mention the FL gifts.

Oh well, JP is whipping them into shape. The results on the field will probably not be much better, but the opponents will know they've been in a fight. That toughness will pay dividends down the road.

Dobbs almost single handedly kept the vols atleast decent though the CBJ era... would loved to have seen what he could have done with good coaching and team around him.

Man was throwing pretty TDs in Pittsburgs preseason game last nignt.
