Dear TNDeerGuy.

Santa, brought me Christmas early with the delivery of a new Hoyt Pro Comp Elite yesterday!

The bow was ordered in Orange, 60-70 limbs @ 29" draw length with Spiral X cams! Santa's elves did a great job and got everything right!

The bow is set on 64 pounds. It's shooting a 350 gr.Gold Tip x-cutter pro at 297 fps.

Seeing how you are the TNDeer resident arts,color,fashion, tuning critic and guru I need your opinion on what color Energy Wave threads would look best on this new Hoyt?

Next I desperately need your help with tuning this new Hoyt! Please take a look at the picture of the paper tear and give me your honest opinion, please! I am at a loss...after literally hundreds of shots through the paper tuner the pictures all look the same and never change! What am I doing wrong? After much hand wringing,floor pacing, and praying to the tuning gods do you think I should move the rest 1/128th or 0.0078125 of an inch left and and 1/64th or 0.015625 of an inch down?

TNDeerGuy, I need your help ASAP!!!!! I won't be able to sleep until I receive your wise counsel!

Sweet ! I think you should put some Flo. Orange threads on it . Just because I know TNDeerguy will love it then .

And if he doesn't like it , give him a second . <-------- haha , get it .
 
Hmmmph! Take the rest and just flip it over...that should take care of it, just make sure that the rest is 15/16ths off of the riser. I highly recommend you go with some purple and flo. pink on the string and get Matt to make a 29 1/2 strand string instead of the normal 22-24 strand. You may want to check the nock height�those Pro Comps tend to have a sweet spot of 7/16ths nock high. Other than that god-awful orage, and that horrible tear....it looks good!!! :)


Kid'sBowhunter163, BITE ME�I got your second right here big boy! In order for a fan of a team to talk smack about another fan's team, the initial fan's team must have a winning record for the current year or a .500 record for the last three years combined�so I guess you s.o.l. on either count. :)

lol .. At least we knew we weren't going to win the NC ...... R:01L Tide . And don't forget to set your clocks back 1 second for daylight Saban time .

Talk about thread hijackers! Lol! Daylight "Saban Time" I spewed my coffe all over the screen when I read that one! I think we should arrange a meeting / sparring match with TNDeerGuy and BH163! I'd pay good money to see that!

Back to the bow!

UTG: The Hoyt PCE has a IBO of 315 fps. When I chronoed it yesterday the rating would be much higher considering an inch less of draw length and 6 less pounds of draw weight and 18 grains of weight on the string.

TNDeerGuy, I studied your advice into the long hours of the night until I achieved analysis paralysis! Don't think turning the rest upside down is the way to go! Couldn't keep the arrow on the rest at full draw for some reason! I did move the rest about 0.0000001 inch and I think it's there!

I've included a pic of the latest modification and you'll have to be sure to let me your thoughts.
