Automatic powder dispensers

Are there any disadvantages to having. I have a RCBS Chargemaster 1500 scale and I'm thinking of purchasing the dispenser that goes with it.

Disadvantages.... mine's broken right now. PACT has a lifetime guarantee on it, so it'll be fixed for free, but I'm looking at a 4-6 week downtime during the time I shoot the most. Once you use one, you'll be crying when you have to weight out individual charges.

In other words, get it, you'll love it, best accessory for handloading out there!

If you know the powder and load you want to use all the time, they are great. If you are doing a lot of experimenting with different powder/bullet combos, they can be a real pain versus just weighing out charges by hand.

On mine, just punch in the charge in grains from 1 to 999 grains in .1 grain increments, then hit 'dispense' button. Much easier than changing the weights on a traditional scale when changing powder charges.

So for me to dispense 45.5 grains I have to punch 5 buttons and presto, there it is, perfectly weighed. The next charge I want if it's the same, just hit 'dispense' again. 1 button push and another charge perfectly weighed.
