I have one on my 835 and knock on wood haven't ever had problems with it.

I have one on my Benelli Nova pump 3 1/2. They work well but on my gun it is very touchy to tighten them up. Too tight and you just can't pump the action or it will be extremely hard to do so. Too loose and it won't be tight enuf to hold zero. It can be done right tho and works good when right. My gun is a bit different ,the receiver housing is "soft". Thanks Ray
