Wind was in my favor today on the way to the stand and I was able to sneak up on this tall racked fella and his harem. They were eating clover and wheat.
I'm very blessed with some great deer and an understanding wife that encourages me to go since it's really my only hobby other than work .Good hunting right there. Wish I still was motivated like that.
Fairly certain I would have shot that buck.
He's very unusual . I call him daggers. He's got great mass , 11 pt not counting little stickers, and extremely tall but narrow . He's 4.5 and really got bigger since last year. If we both live to see next season he should be even nicer.Yep he would have been good enough for me. I will be happy if I can find a decent doe or two in the last few days. Ducks get in my way in the mornings after thanksgiving.
That's what it takes to kill really nice bucks regularly. I've killed 2 bucks in TN in the past 6 seasons by choice so I don't blame you one bit! He's very unusual . I call him daggers.
