Bacon burger.

I mix it 5 pounds meat and one pound hard wood smoked bacon and my wife and kids eat it faster than i can make it
 
Yea we have eat over 100 pounds of it since oct they love it it opens up a whole new world in my opinion we grind it with course screen then grind the bacon then mix it up n grind it agian with fine screen i clean out the screen after every step

Good discussion to have though. I love bacon and I lover burger. But I don't love a bacon/burger mix. Since they cook differently, I don't like the taste of undercooked bacon in my burger. I love a medium burger, but in order to achieve that, the bacon won't be cooked sufficiently enough for my preference (or food safety).

Even the bacon I make on my own is hot-smoked & fully cooked, I don't like the difference in flavors and consistencies.

For my favorite burger, cook burger, cook bacon, then assemble together.
 
I generally use a pork butt in a 70-30 mix of deer(70)and pork butt (30). I have also done it 60(deer)and 40(pork butt). This is for burger with just straight deer. If making summer sausage I do a deer(80) pork butt(20). Snack sticks same. Jerky no casing ground deer(90) pork butt(10). Whole muscle jerky just deer meat. Also for more moisture content in summer sausage and snack sticks you can add some dehydrated milk or dehydrated butter milk. Dehy buttermilk adds a little twang like a furmented sausage.
