BadNole this is for you...

I'm sure it was funny but I cant read unless I join swampgas. We Noles don't join anything SEC or gater which I believe this is what the article is about.Probably won't talk about how Florida blocked FSU for over 30 years from joining the SEC. Oh well, we needed that Basketball money anyway, but Trey if you check the last 30 years you will see why the SEC still doesn't want FSU. Bowden was smart then.

It is a pic of Bowden on ESPN saying FSU had to go to the ACC because the SEC was tough and the road to the National Championship was easiest in the ACC. UF blocked fsu for 30 years????????

Here you go.... :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

If you check FSU has as many NC as mighty UF. Looks like a good move to me. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

Point proven.... UF has it tougher than FSU and still has three. So no telling how many UF would have in that weak conference. ACC = Almost College Conference

But Bowden is at least admitting FUS isn't good enough for the SEC :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

Saw that also... Only certain UFS fans thinks otherwise. The ones that don't care about morals.

Pretty funny coming from a Gator, any talk about morals and such. How old are you anyway Trey?
You don't seem to know alot about Gator or Nole history .
This story from Bowden has been brought up many times, but always never all the story. Also not all was printed about what Bowden said about Winston.
Even with that said Bobby is far from being in touch with Boosters and Seminole fans. I wasn't one,but most wanted Bobby gone also.

Coach Bowden doesn't speak for the fans or Boosters. As far as the SEC goes UF was everyone's home coming until Spurrier came back to coach UF. Thats a lot of years Trey!!! Now UF seems to be headed back that way. Maybe now UF and FSU could change conferences but Tenn would object.Your gonna be easy in the See Everyone Cheats conference.

BadNole, as you know, when a fan of one team has to resort to conference affiliation and twentieth century won/loss records to counter recent futility against another team, they are arguing from a position of weakness.

For years (decades really), I've heard of this notion of SEC dominance in college football. There might be a few teams in that conference that can stake a claim the past 10-15 years to have been "dominant" or close for a 2 or 3 year period. Haven't seen much of anything from UF or LSU in recent years. Auburn seems to have a good team once every 4 years maybe. Even 'Bama has been dominated in the Sugar Bowl the last two years by allegedly lesser teams from allegedly lesser conferences.

Notwithstanding most recent history, SEC fans love to assert the dominance of their conference over the B1G in football. While it's correct that the SEC's all time record against the B1G is 83-57-2 in favor of the SEC, who really cares about Ohio State beating Vandy 20-0 in 1933? Let's take the BCS era and last season (bowl games only; I think SEC and B1G fans can agree that neither Kentucky nor Indiana are representative of either conference when it comes to good football). Granted, through the BCS era, in head-to-head bowl games the SEC won 24 to the BiG's 20. Certainly not domination. The average score of all those bowl games was something like 24-21. A lot of those games were played in the SEC team's backyard. I'd like to see an SEC team play a game in Minneapolis, East Lansing, Happy Valley or even Columbus in November, let alone January. And, if this past season B1G bowl record against the SEC is an indication, 2-1 (Vols defended the honor of the SEC in the taxcheat.com bowl), the SEC bowl record against the B1G since the start of the BCS era of 25-22 may start moving in the other direction.

BadNole, I bet if you took the time like I did to do the research, you'll find that Bobbie Bowden didn't know what he was talking about.

This is coming from a OSU fan that was I think 0-8 against the SEC in bowl games up until two years ago??????? You said in the last 10-15 years right? Maybe the math is wrong for me but I am pretty sure UF won 2 out of 3 National titles in 06-08. Yes UF has been down for 2 years. Just 3 years ago we went 11-2. Maybe you cant read to well either since BadNole was the one brought up " the last 30 years"!!! So I went a little longer and reminded him UF OWNS the series against FSU. So you only want to look at LAST SEASON since OSU won. You used a lot of useless info. Still shows SEC has better records than the Big10 and you try to use average margin of victory... hahahahahahaha 1 point or 20 points is still a loss right????? You made a post fail. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :moon: :moon: :moon: :moon: :moon: :moon: :moon: :tu:

History.... Spurrier didn't save FL like some would want you to think. Pell and Hall changed the program in the 80's even if it did involve cheating. FL went 9-2-1, 9-1-1, and 9-1-1 in the mid 80's. FL went 6-4 against the Noles in the 80's and went 2-0 against the Vols in the 80's. The OBC is my favorite but lets debunk the myth that he single handedly changed the program. Charlie Pell got it started. A little history lesson.

Bobby was a great coach and a legend. Coach Bowden is losing it a little. He is still very bitter over being fired.I will say nothing more about Bobby. The SEC is a myth in their own minds. Most of the problems I have with the SEC are with people who don't know their own history.Sure UF was good but the went on probation for it. Alabama,Auburn,Lsu,Tenn until recently and will be again soon and Ga are the only teams that have been really good since their beginnings. FSU isn't worried about the SEC or UF. We can hold our own against them, ask Alabama and Auburn.
GREAT post OHVATN.

By the way what is OSU's record against Florida??? :moon: :stir:

So now not only does Florida OWN FSU but OSU also...

UF vs FSU 34-23-2
UF vs OSU 2-0

GNB I agree with a lot of what you said but Pell and Hall also put UF in a hole . The reason they went 6-4 vs FSU is because they did cheat and bought their players. As much as I didn't care for Spurrier he did change the way recruits looked at UF.

LOL Trey--we will change that record for the better. What kind of chance does Ohio St have tho-----UF will not play them, lol. When was the last time you went out of conference to play a team that didn't have a direction in front of it. Syracuse? How did that turn out? Oh and I pretty much can guess your age now. I apologize to your parents if I was mean, and you of course.

Well they had two for sure... Right? But until UFS changes that, UF owns USF! That's a fact though.

That's not the reason FL went 6-4 against the Noles in the 80s because the Noles where cheating also. That's a fact. Went on a recruiting trip to Florida with another teammate that was highly recruited through out the country in two sports. On our way back home I asked him what team was cheating the Most. He replied, "FSU" with a smile. At the time we had another player from our H.S. that was two years older than us playing for the Noles. He told me that Bobby was asking about me but was quick to tell me that Bobby wasn't the charming person that you see on TV. Never got to visit FSU but they did send me a recruiting letter that Brad Scott signed. My teammate ended up at UF and that's not a shocker because we lived 40 minutes from the Swamp.

The rule in the 80's was "If you are not cheating, you are not trying".
