Sure you all missed my basketball thread where I just talk to myself. Was Out in WKY on a duck trip, saw most but not all of the game. Its very cliche to say but maybe this is a loss that will be good for them?
Bama had a good game plan but game plans don't really make a difference when you hit 3s like they did. Impressive for a team that usually shoots in the 30% range.
lots of little issues compounded into a tough game. They'll have nights like that, gotta figure out how to overcome it.

They definitely exposed some weaknesses of the Vols. Hopefully Barnes will get it cleaned up. Made our defense look silly at times and that is our greatest strength. One thing is for sure, Pons ain't gonna let you drive to the basket and score at will. His blocking skills are amazing most of the time. Look forward to them getting back at it.

Poor shooting vs excellent shooting.
Alabama only took 3 shots outside of the paint that weren't 3's, and they missed all 3 shots. I think they we're 50% on 3's.

Yeah it's tough to beat anybody when they do that- I missed the foul calls on Pons but I did read somewhere else they were pretty tough calls. Still, you'll just have that some nights and we should have enough talent to overcome.
Is Springer OK?
Arkansas will be a tough game too

Pons had some bad calls go his way picking up 2 quick first half fouls that forced him to set most the half. Then 15 seconds into his return he picked up a 3ed foul on about as clean as a block you can get at this level. One of the 5* freshman hurt a ankle, and missed most the game. This was just a bad shooting night . Bama was hitting 3 after 3 and the Vols couldn't hit anything.

Hopefully the get it done against Arkansas today.
