Mayor promoted himself to a constituent :drool:
Gotta hand it to him. He stood up for his beliefs. What a dumb thing to do to throw away his job like that but he stood up never the less.
Saban does not have to worry about the front office or politics. Hes pandering to his players and recruits who lets face it are mostly black. Saban has always been a lefty so none of this comes as a big surprise to me.

The NFL thing was a combination of things. Not just the kneeling thing. It was years of degradation of the league. Years of Jerry Jones messing up the Cowboys . How he handled the Rape of the girl in Vegas with his players stating that We just need to get on with football . The whole Fiasco of the Oilers coming to Nashville was a thorn in my side. The Pac Man Jones constantly getting into trouble and the NFL continually turning a blind eye.
Ask me again if we see these sort of things in College football (more specifically ALABAMA football) then we can talk.

I was a HUGE Cowboys fan and NFL fan back in the day. Tom Landry was right up there with Bear Bryant as far as I was concerned as on of the best coaches of all times. Always has been always will be. Nothing the Cowboys under him was ever wrong. I even cut Jerry Jones some slack for Firing Landry because he brought in Jimmy Johnson. I knew it was time for Tom to move on and knew Jimmy Johnson was the right man for the job. But All the F ups in the world that JJ did to the Cowboys organization lead me to despise the Cowboys franchise and my association with the NFL was DONE. Add to it the watering down of the NFL and its Thugs league the horrible deal Nashville made with a crappy Houston Bud Adams deal and on and on. And then insert More crap with Kneeling. Pretty much the straw that broke the camels back. A man can only tolerate so much ..

I've spent a lifetime devoted to football . As a small child my dad use to take me to ALABAMA games . These losers are bad all the way down to highschool ball. Arrests, and news stories concerning college players get swept under the rug all the time, especially the ones with a big following. But stories get out and many end up on the front page.

I can keep going, and before anyone points out, this is pretty much every team out there not just Bama. I was big into the pros, I was raised in Denver and we had pro teams for a long time and college ball is just not as popular or otherwise I too would be a big college ball viewer. I too overlooked many of the arrests and other legal issues off the field as I didn't really care. That is until they brought it on the field with the whole kneeling thing. Then, I started looking at college ball as a possible replacement, then they started, then high school started etc., so no ball for me at all.
