Bank Fishing with my Boy!

My son (11) loves fishing and this year he is starting his lure journey. He is really learning alot about conditions, lure selection, water depth etc… Cool to watch.

Here are someof his catches this year so far…
Yellow Bass, Blue Gill, Crappie, Rock Bass and White Bass.
He also wanted to taste the different types of fish. Usually we are catch and release but lately its…….Catch N Hot Grease!

Thats the truth. I am taking advantage as long as i can.

May mean getting a boat soon but for now this has his interest as much as mine

Oh yea my 6 year old daughter goes too .. Has been since she was 3 but the older she gets the more she is realizing.. Its not worth the bugs

Agreed! He is also my hog hunting partner when we go to TX. We are learning to hunt Deer this year hopefully

Good deal. I'm looking forward to such trips with my grand kids soon. Gotta teach them some tricks to filling a stringer. Their momma ain't bad at it, but their dad catches a lot of turtles instead of fish. He seems to be a magnet for them, lol.

Mine is 4 and starting to get into it. I've quickly learned that for at least the foreseeable future I won't actually be doing any fishing myself, just be a fisherman's assistant. It's all fun and totally worth it but I was thinking on our last outing, I don't even know why I brought any of my poles lol.

Yep.. and dont stay long. I start mine at 4 too. At let them throw rocks, eat snacks and maybe get lucky and fish lol
