Let me start by saying my bow is shooting really well..... I have broadhead tuned and it is perfect......
Out of curiosity, I decided to shoot a bare shaft at 15 yards.... Well, the thing hit big time with the knock to the left...... I have all of my measurements and marks, so I decided to do a little scientific investigation...(ha ha)
I started adjusting my rest in small increments... No matter which way I moved the rest, I couldnt get a perfectly straight on arrow.....They were all Knock to the left.....
I moved it past center in both directions and I could get it better, but always a little left......

Is there something about a bow's geometry that would cause this? I know it dont matter, I am just curious about the machine...

By the way, I put everything back on my marks and she is putting broadheads and field tips right back in the same hole......

Crazy aint it?

another question. i wonder would a lefthanded bow kick to the right?

According to the Easton Tuning Guide, bareshaft tuning is not recommended for release shooters. If you are shooting good holes through paper and getting good groups at 40 yards, don't waste your time with bareshaft tuning.

By the way, I agree with UTGrad here. If you are satisfied with B/H and F/P performance, why would it matter what the bareshaft is doing?

Bareshafting is a means to an end. The end is perfect arrow flight. It sounds like you have acheived that without the Bareshafting. So enjoy!!

Just piddling.... Trying to learn more about the mechanics & geometery......

Plus, I had a pretty rough day at work yesterday... I needed to stay in the shop as long as possible last night...

I was shooting bullet holes through paper and getting excellent groups. I tried bare shaft and it was awful. I looked in the Easton Tuning Guide and it did not recommend bare shaft tuning for release aid shooters. The Easton Tuning Guide recommends paper tuning for release aid shooters.
