I have a 4 to 5 year old wildcat c5 that i bought new and have taken good care of, its all original and never has had a problem at all until this morning. My wife hunts with it now and she wanted to go this morning so she went and about the time she should be there i get a call saying it wont stay locked back, after multiple attemps fiddling with safety and trigger and safety i tell her to hurry back and get my ghost 400, so when she got back i tried it and no go. So i took an allen wrench and manually pushed the fingers down and pulled the trigger and they came back up and after working then down, and fireing etc several times i tried cocking it for real and it cocked, held, and fired. My thoughts are the fingers were laying down for the string to pass but not returning back up to capture the string after it passed over, what are yalls thoughts and would you send it in?I really dont want too but this morning was frustrating for her, in general this wildcat has a really nice light trigger, as in dont lay your finger on it unless you are READY to fire. My ghost 400 is supposed to be alot lighter and more crisp but it feels 3-4 times heaver to my finger, so i really dont want my otherwise flawless trigger messed with. Have any of yall had this happen? Also my barnett c5 has the older non anti dry fire trigger. Now i just hope she gets a shot with the ghost after getting back late!
