Tungsten or stainless steel, pros and cons for both?
It's tungsten cerakoteTikka has a rifle that advertises a tungsten barrel, probably an alloy. I know that tungsten is more re durable and is heavier. I'm not sure if the added weight would be more accurate or not. Thinking in terms of a bull barrel vs a regular barrel. Price difference is about $200.
We did some pretty cool things using EDM to machine Tungsten Carbide. But you would probably have to hold your tongue just right to maintain tenths tolerance in the bore and rifling of a barrel.Tungsten would be pretty stiff tho, if it could be machined and tempered that is.
