Barron River

Anyone having any luck on the Barron River lately? My family is thinking about going camping there this weekend. Its a body of water I have never fished. We will have a boat. I figure If I am driving 2 hours, I will have least try and catch a fish. Any help is appreciated.

I used to fish it in college when I was at western.
We used to slaughter the white bass this time of year.
Nothing else really.

Well I can tell you what they were not biting: crankbait, spinnerbait, any form of topwater, couldnt catch em flipping, couldn't catch them on the bluffs. We literally tried every way except main lake flats. It was so hot out we decided we were done. Ended up with around 10 dinks
