So I worked my @$$ of at the feild tonight. I played on jv and had no apart of varsity tonight. We lost 13-1 and got. Coach said to be at our field at 6:30 in the morning to work our @$$ off. Dad is debating weather to tell coach that I won't be there bc he feels that I did good and had no apart of our loss in any way. That being said I hit a tank to left field tonight

As a coach, you win as a team and you lose as a team. You not being there doesn't send the best message to the rest of the guys, regardless how you played. JMO

From my perspective as a former coach, your individual play is irrelevant when dealing with larger team issues. You are part of a team be there are 6:30. Sucks getting a beat down and then the coach piling on but that's the way it usually works.

I quit playing sports in school because you basically had to decide if you wanted to be a serious hunter or a ball player. Hunting was much more important to me, you may have to make that decision as well.

You're young yet, but I'll tell you this from someone who's older and lived a little life. Make your own decision on good morals even if it kills you. In the end you'll build relationships that'll last and get respect from even those that don't like you. Also you can hold you're head high knowing you gave everything you had for yourself and your team. You won't regret it and I believe dad will see you in a different light also.

I was part of a 13-12 loss where I went 5 for 5. We committed 7 errors. I committed zero. I threw out 2 runners. 1 at third and 1 at home. After the game we ran 50 pole to poles. In 32 degree weather. I ran all 50.
