Baylor fires coach Art Briles

I can tell you that many people in Texas are not surprised at all by this. Briles' reputation evolved into that of a guy that will do whatever it takes to win with no regard to ethics. The guy is widely regarded as a liar and cheat and I'm pretty sure that most of the Big 12 coaches can't stand him.

Art be like....................

The only thing that bothers me about this situation, is that he has been the only one fired.

Never cared or watched anything Baylor did, but I heard on ESPN dude had 8 years left on his contract, and was making 6 Million a year highest paid coach in that conference.

They also gave a list of all the NFL players his produced at Baylor pretty impressive list, and of course he coached the Heisman winning QB RGlll

They was talking about how he could have went down as one of the best, now he will only be known as the Baylor coach who got fired over the sexual assault case.

They are getting hammered.

Baylor sold its soul to the devil for gridiron glory

"It is an astounding religious hypocrisy for a school that proudly flaunts its Baptist underpinnings to have not one but two of the worst athletic scandals of the 21st century unfold on its campus. For all Baylor wants to stand for, it appears utterly fraudulent.

Maybe now, with the impending dismissal of Art Briles and the demotion of Ken Starr, the school can begin mending its tattered dignity."

It'll be interesting how future situations are handled
