Just wondering how many bear hunters we have on here, and what your methods of hunting are. I enjoy still hunting myself cant wait for the october archery hunt!

I've been invited to go this year. Never really had an interest after trapping them and jabbing them with a jab stick from 2 feet. I'm looking forward to it though.

Last year was my first year going after them. Caught a glimpse of one in front of dogs and got to see a big boar after they brought him down. It was lots of fun and cant wait to get back after them.

hunted canada both in the spring and fall last year and had a ball, job is keeping from going this year but am booked both spring and fall next year!! It is something that I will try and hunt every year.

I when with 10 guys last year and we got 4 in the Nov. hunt on opening day with dogs. We where done by 10:00 AM the dogs where give out the big one was 450 live wight. Our scales olny go to 350 so we took him to a place that sold rock and put him on a pallet. We would have keep hunting but all the dogs were tired and two had holes and one had some broke ribs. We had 4 good dogs and 15 OK dogs. My father in law is in Canada right now he said they got a good one today. They took 16 dogs and are going to be there for 2 weeks.

I'll be going for the first time come Oct. 13th. It's nice to get a shot at them before the dog hunters get after them.
How are you hunting them, like deer, trails and food sources??Looking at the new book it looks like all Sullivan county and Greene are open..Several on and around Bays mountain..Paint Creek used to have a bunch on the mountain going up to Hurricane gap.......
