Had a big bear come on me today while hunting. My understanding is that Bradley County does not have a bear season during gun season. Am I right?

Right. No bear season in Bradley Co.
But there certainly are bears here. Last year I had three on my trail cam. One of them had to weigh nearly 500 pounds. He was huge. (yes, his male-hood was clearly visible)
I had dragged a road-killed fawn off into the woods near my house. A momma bear and her half-grown cub ate it that night.
Last week I was told that a bear had been sighted near the Shake-Shack on hwy 64.
