Don't you think it's fair to fund the capture and removal of beards from hens? I mean gobbling hens and bearded hens! What's the world coming to? It must be something in the water. Soon we'll have B&C does.

She didn't have a beard, but cbhunter and myself had a hen gobbling this morning. No joke.
I called in a gobbling hen last year. It was bizzare.
i watched YouTube videos of "gobbling hens" yesterday when Gasman and I got back. Those hens on YouTube sounded nothing like this. I'll put it this way....
We was under some roosted birds and one kept gobbling and I told him "that's a jake" . Said jake pitched down and snuck in a busted us. The other bird gobbling I kept telling him I thought might be a long beard. Although questionable, it sounded better than the jake did. It pitched down into the wide open at 50 yds and messed around looking for us for 7-8 minutes. Not a beard in sight and looked nothing like a male bird. This bird gobbled AT LEAST 30 times.

I've almost convinced myself that it was a male bird with a female head and chest. I mean females can strut and have beards so why not? Lol
