Hunt was a quick one. got to the farm at 545 but birds were already on ground. if i had had my decoys out it would have been quick. 3 long beards and a jake together. Bet they gobbled at me 50 times. Finally they worked their way to me and got in a opening. shot the 1st bird through who was a 2yr old. 19 lbs, 9 inch beard and 3/4 and 7/8 inch spurs. the other 2 were three yr olds, but the first full fan gets the shot when i am hunting. my goal was to limit out and i feel have a chance with a little luck. cant wait to eat this guy. i have a recipe that is incredible. i would almost shoot a jake to get some turkey breast! Took a pic of a tom stutting in the rd on the way out. i will post it, it is a cell phone photo and not the best. I think it is getting right.
