I will be there Sunday around 1.

Dang im blind. I just posted a thread askin if anybody was shooting tomm. Lol. U got anybody shooting with u? I usually shoot with Jeff Hunt but he's out celebrating and I cant get ahold of him so I dont thinks he's going. He likes to shoot round 9am anytime of the yr and I aint shootin when its 20degrees. Was kinda wanting to go after church tho.

How did you fellas fare out there? We shot Saturday. I had to move out of my normal class and was caught unawares of it. So I did the best I could with a bow not setup for yardage over 30. Shot 4 down (196) and felt like it was an easy enough course that it should have been 4+ instead of 4-. Oh well. Always another chance next month.

I didnt do as well today as I did last time. 1. I got tired since I havent shot since november. 2. I shot the K-45 class because last time it just seemed to easy in the novice class. This was only tge second tournament ive ever shot too. I am hooked on it. Ended up shooting a 173. 20 points shy from the last one. I did manage to meet up with Turd Farmer whom is a super nice guy. Maybe we can meet up and shoot next shoot.

K45 is a fun class. A lot of guys that gave the Open classes a go and didn't do well in them, have dropped back to it. It is a real competitive class in ASA shoots; usually taking 20+ up to win it due to the more open equipment that you can use it in. Bow Novice is known yardage with fixed pins only with stabilizer restrictions...K45 is just 10 more yards but you can use target moving sights, scopes, long stabilizer bars, etc.

Novice ain't as easy as you think. Don't let the yardage fool you. 20 targets with a potential 240 score with twenty 12s. How many scores do you see over 230 in it? NONE. So it ain't that easy. It kills me that my highest score in it is just eight 12s. I feel like I should at least get half of the course as 12s...but never have. Until I can do that, it's not easy.

I see what your saying. I dont know the targets enough yet to try for the 12's so I just make sure I hit the 10 everytime. Where it looks like where u should shoot sometimes may not be the right spot on the target. Now that you mention it maybe I need to go back to novice get more familiar with the rings and then move back. I know one thing I wont take so much time off from shooting before the next tournament. I was at straight 10's for the first 13 targets then got tired and fell apart.

A good pair of binoculars will help a lot with seeing the rings .

I fell apart on the first target. lol Good meeting you today John. It was a lot of fun. Seems I get worse every time I go. But we have a lot of fun. Maybe we will do this again very soon. I always shoot with Jeff also.
