Benton's DEER HUNTER Archery shoots

[Poleaxe]

Starting Labor Day weekend we have decided to have a archery shoot hopefully every weekend until opening day. We haven't fully decided on the scoring but these shoots will be strictly for sharpening your skills for bow season. Every target will be positioned with possible scenarios (stands, blinds). Keep your calendars open and I'll post more about it soon.

 

[Crow Terminator]

The one this past weekend was fun....has a couple stations in which you had to shoot from inside of popup blinds, and one low level treestand. Fun shoots.

 

[Poleaxe]

It was fun, but my bow thought otherwise. Shot 4 12's right off then my bow started shooting 6inches left all of a sudden.

 

[Crow Terminator]

I had a so/so shoot. I did have one 5 but considering I only had a 20 +30 yard pin, and it being all unknown yardage, I did better than I thought. I shot the 5 on that hyena target that was right there with the hog targets we shot from one of the blinds. I judged it for about 33 yards but evidently it was either more than that, or I just didn't hold high enough with my 30 pin. I shot it in the arm pit. Shot 3 down with a 197. I had a few 12s but those 8s took those out of the equation lol
