Best beginner bow sight?

Thanks for the input jw0312. West_tn_hunter, you advise getting a good one right off the bat. That's what I am trying to figure out. What is a good sight that's not $200. It's it reasonable to get a "good sight" for $75?

What kind of sight to you want? Do you want multiple pins or a single pin? If a single, do you want a slider or one that just stays in place? I really like the Sword Twilight hunter I have, which has multiple pins. If you want a single pin slider, a lot of people like HHA. I had a Truglo Range Rover but didn't like how thin the housing was. If you find one you like read the description of it. I would recommend you stay away from anything plastic, especially plastic pins.

Due to being green I don't know if I want a single or multiple pin sight. The bow I bought used has a Keller Pendulum sight on it. I have gotten mixed input on it. I had a friend help sight in the Keller & I shot respectable groups at 20yrds for a newby. I just don't want to get used to the Keller if I am not going to be able to set it up well. I can hardly find anything online about setting up a Keller. Which leads me to think that it's becoming obsolete.

Let me hear some rips!

agree with above, just get a good one to start with because if you get a cheap one you are going to replace it. There are tons of good ones out there but just be sure to find one with a level....that will help you keep the bow consistent.

levels are fine and dandy shooting 3D or dots but are pretty much useless in some of the positions you have to shoot from while hunting.

For hunting , I like a single pin adjustable sight . I lock it down at 25 yards for hunting and I'm good out to 35 yards .

I paid $65 I think for my Twilight Hunter new on archery talk. I would suggest you take a look at the classifieds there. Especially, if you don't have a problem buying used. You can find some good deals on there on accessories and bows too.

I disagree... You learn to shoot with the bow being level and your form learns how to keep that position naturally. Yes there are times when odd angles are needed but majority of "good" shots are taken with proper form and time. Consistent shooting is all in confidence and consistent form so use all the tools you have to achieve both. Is a level a MUST no but it does help if you learn to use it without focusing on it.
